To this day, this remains one of my favorite photos that I've ever taken. Or, should I say my three favorite photos? ;) This image is actually a composite of three images, overlaid on top of one another. My camera was on a tripod, and I used a shutter remote to capture three bursts of fireworks. Each image by itself looked a little bare, so I decided to combine a few to create a larger group of fireworks.
I was standing alongside the Grand River in Lansing, MI, with a small group of members from the photography club that I joined back in 2011. The spot that we set up in was pretty empty, but I believe that we had the best view possible - just look at the beautiful reflections on the river! The fireworks were set off from Cooley Law School Stadium, home of the Lansing Lugnuts (local baseball team). The building that you see on the right is the City Market.
I had this image printed on metallic paper, which really makes the colors POP! ;)
